  14. Just bought a Zoom Comstar 620 (28.8).

  16. Generally works excellently, but with an inevitable fly in the
  17. ointment.

  19. Distinctive ring = no go.

  21. My modem simply misidentifies my Ring type 2 (short-short) as a Ring 1
  22. -- actually, as =two= "Ring 1"s.

  24. Anyone else have any experience with this modem and Dist. ring?

  26. (FWIW, I have a ZyXEL that does distinctive ring just fine, thank you,
  27. so I know it ain't my "weird Canadian distinctive ring" as the
  28. pleasant but not-too-knowledgeable fellow at Zoom first suggested...)
